The Importance of 0-6 Years

Brain development is not yet complete when babies are born. Most of the brain development is completed in the first 6 years. They acquire 70% of all behaviors they have acquired during their lifetime at the age of 0-6. For this reason, this age range is very important.

The period of 0-3 years is the period of absorbent mind, where children unconsciously absorb everything around them like a sponge. Children absorb whatever they are exposed to. They make conscious what they have learned unconsciously in the 3-6 age period.

Neurons in the brain of children act very quickly in the period of 0-6 years. Exposure to many stimuli and having different experiences affect brain development positively. When inherited inherited features are added to experiential experiences, the development of the brain progresses positively.

In this period, the neurophysiological mechanism of children is clear, their perceptions are strong, the memory record is intense and the learning power is at the highest level.

Language development, speaking skills and vocabulary that enable the communication of the child with his environment are enriched in these years.

This is the period when our children discover themselves and the environment and gain their self-confidence.
Correct warnings and guidance contribute to the elimination of attention deficit, to increase awareness, to grow up as safer, sharing and social individuals.

In this period, if the necessary foundations are not laid with correct and timely warnings, it will be difficult to develop these skills in the later ages and sometimes it becomes impossible.

The main thing that contributes to this development is to show interest and love during infancy, to establish skin contact and to meet the needs, to secure the bond with the mother. Along with these, making eye contact, touching, using words of love, reading books and playing games help positively contribute to the development of the developing brain.

Contributions to the development of children should be made through the studies carried out in the 0-6 age period. Their potential should be discovered and moved to the highest level.
